A very sorrow loss

She was a good girl

Hi,
I just had my 14 year old cat, Sophie put to sleep yesterday. She had a good, long happy life. she was just starting to have pain, and hadnt eaten for about a week. I will always remember her.

Sorry. Bad to see them go, worse to see them suffer. Hope you're ok.

My condolences,
I never had cats until I got married. My wife always has. Got my first one from the pound on the way to our honeymoon. We snuck him into our hotel room in my wifes coat. He lived 12 years and died of bone cancer. It was like losing a relative. My next anniversary will be 20 years. We have always had at least three cats, sometimes as many as six. I've had to put down more than I care to count. Fourteen years is a good run for a cat. You must have taken good care of her.

So sad to hear Meowy I too went through the same thing with my 10 year old cat Dixie who I adored. She had kidney cancer(diagnosed too late)and she wouldn't eat(only have a drink now and then) She died in my arms on the way to the vets office. I truly understand your pain

Sorry to hear about your cat. I can certainly understand how you feel. My wife loves cats and we have always had one in the house. They are great companions. A house is not a home without a loving pet there.

Painful indeed..
We just last year lost one that lived for 18 years.. (I only knew him for 5 but my girlfriend had him for the entire 18)

Sorry to hear of the loss. 14 years is alot of Love.
My cat (ruler of everything I do) of 19 1/2 years is basically day to day now. As long as she seems to not be suffering Ill let her live it out.

I wont change my nick, though. Last year she was diagnosed with a kidney disease, when she was looked at she had already lost 50% of her kidneys. The vets were surprised she live another year. They thought she would live another month on pepcid. Her stomach had started rotting a few days after Christmas. Made me not enjoy XP as well.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a cat about 10 years who got sick and died suddenly, all in the space of two weeks. I was up all night with him before he died, and he died in my arms next morning.I was so devastated! You can't truly ever replace them you know, but I now have two Bengals that I love with all my heart as well. But I've never forgotten my Beardsley....

Give yourself time and permission to grieve, and please take care of yourself.

Lost Cahokia, Ezekiel, Ezekiel Jr, Neko, and Yuki. Try not to think about it much. But be comforted to know that you gave your buddy one heck of a good life and she had a TRUE friend in YOU!!!

I have 5 cats. And i've lost 2 in the past so i know how you feel. The only way to deal with it is to know that with you she had a better life with you than she might have with someone else or if she had to fend for herself. And when you're ready open your home to another one. You're not replacing Sophie you're giving love to another cat that needs it.

My heartfelt sympathies, Meowy...take comfort in the knowledge that Sophie is no longer in pain and is having a wonderful time rolling in the grass and chasing butterflies across the Rainbow Bridge

Wht happened to Jafo's name?
