I need some help finding a book

Not even remotely related to skinning ;)

For a long, long time now I've been searching for a series of books which I read as a child and absolutely loved. Unfortunately I have very little information to go on, but here's what I know:

- The books featured a cat with an unusual name
- The cat was a 'real' cat, of the Mog variety, rather than a talking character
- A clock was somehow a key part of each story
- The cat may have either lived in a lighthouse or an old mansion
- The stories either revolved around time travel or teleportation of the cat's home
- They were small, square books with covers in primary colours
- They contained black and white hand-drawn illustrations
- There was one of these illustrations in a square on the front cover

Now I remember that I used to have several of these books, but they've since vanished from the attic. If anyone can help me find them with the scant details I have I'll be absolutely thrilled, and also have my sanity saved in the process! I've tried all the obvious answers, but none of them fit.

Sorry for the non-skinning related post, but I'm desperate now.

http://www.logan.com/loganberry/default.html Try this site. It seems that they have a "Book Stumper". It cost's $2 per "Book Stumper", but the $2 can be used towards the purchase of the book. Good Luck

Thanks for the help guys. I might give that site a try Essencay, as it seems to be full of other folk just as clueless as myself.

The books weren't 'Meg & Mog'. The illustrations were a lot more detailed (almost overly detailed) and I seem to remember the cat was a bit overweight and had stripes.

Anyone else?
