Difficulty Anomalous??

I just reported to metaverse submission few days ago. It says I got 0 points (yet somehow boosted my score by 3000) with anomalous difficulty(well it was painfull difficulty).
Well I've been using GC writer to create various techs and ships and improvements. It all works fine and I enjoy them.
(thanks to Hawaii five)
My Question is how much change would make the game difficulty set as anomalous?? and give you 0 points?

If you not already done so, Berserk, you should try resubmitting. My guess is that sometimes corruption occurs during submission and the game is mistakenly tagged. Resubmitting worked for some.

The exact parameters that will trip the alarm are not revealed (probably for a good reason).

Good to find another player who plays Maso.

Are you in Korea? Your time zone should be quite similar to mine in Singapore.

Well I live in Washington State now. Own a gas station. Busy all the time but just can't get rid of playing game habit. LOL
I played maso once, it was fun. If I have more spare time I would play maso more often.

Thanks for the reply I'll try to resumit the game.

A sure-fire way to get the Anomalous score is to have too high of a PQ rating. For this reason I avoid mods that boost PQ too much.

Otherwise, I've not experienced any other modding that would trigger the Anomalous score. Not saying there may not be another trigger, just haven't crossed the threshold myself.

Resubmitting seems to clear it up many times. I hope it works for you.

Ah.... That may be it. High planet quality... LOL
Let me correct that and resubmit it and see what happens. :d
I made three PQ tech and improvement. It dose not affect whole world, but it will increase a planet where you build it.
I made earth PQ 87 haha... Well the goal was try to make earth beyond 99 PQ but well...... ;p

That's totally going to be it.

Problem is, you'll have to backtrack to an earlier point in the game and play it out (after removing the offending mods). Stardock keeps track of the PQ rating over time, can't just pull out the goodies at the end of the game and expect it to work. ;)

Well, that answers a question I had. I have the Abandoned Terraformer and Enhanced Terraforming mod, causing all of my planets to be PQ 50+ when I finished. I think I should restrict using Enhanced Terraforming and Omni Terraforming to planets that are subpar and reduce the availability of Abandoned Terraformer.

Berserk74,

Noticed you disbanded your empire. Want to join the Fellowship? :)

When I have some time, I might join your clan. :)

But now I'm testing my mode, plus too busy working at the store. :notsure:

Thanks for asking. LOL

I'm pretty sure it's by individual mod, not the net total. I will note that all of the base techs that had +PQ no longer do, so if any of parent techs of those improvements have it, that may be what's triggering the anomolous score.

Well, the last two games I submitted, I didn't use the Terraforming improvement period, my PQs were high enough with just Soil Enhancement, Habitat Improvement and Life Seeding.

I just got one those anomalous scores without any mods. I reloaded the game, refinished it, and resubmitted it, the metaverse anomalous vanished and correct score of 12000 was listed. Thanks to whoever said an anomalous can be some sort of electronic glitch (even without mods). I was pretty annoyed at first, especially since I played without any mods, but it worked out when I resubmitted. So make sure everyone resubmits the game a few times before giving up. Good luck all. :)

Anomalous score without mods can be corrected but from my experience, the score with mods will not be corrected. I guess many high PQ planets gives you better metaverse score and that's probably why they give you anomalous score. But to me, it seems like if you constantly do something until you end the game(not just pressing end turns to get technology or something), it gives you better points.
I think most of the score comes from social points(including approval rating, economy, diplomacy, and manufacturing). High PQ planets would give you better social points.
Second would be technology, then military points.

I think I might get scores of 20,000+ if i could play maps bigger than huge, but my computer is 5 years old and running very slow. Even with midium map, if i build too many starbases it will take couple seconds to click at anything. LOL
That's why i'm constantly at war with any civilization who builds lots of starbases. Ha Ha

In the scoring system revealed to us by Frogboy (have you seen that before, Beserk?), there wasn't any mention about factors such as approval rating, diplomacy, manufacturing or military.

However, it is possible that Frogboy may have failed to mention them. In my next game, I will try to work on those factors to see if my score increases. I will try to win a 'real' military victory this time round with minimal culture flips.
