Ship Creation Question

I would like to know if there is a way to create a ship that only the human race can build and no other civilization can?

I'm not sure. You might be able to with a mod, but you would need someone with experience making them to tell you for sure. But without any mods I don't think it's possible.

Well, you could set all the other races to Good, and make your new ship based on an evil-only technology. (Or vice-versa, but it might take you a lot longer to get good enough to build your ship.) That's kind of a cheap hack, though.

...until a new minor arrives with all your tech, and then trades it away or loses it when it gets squashed by a nearby AI major.

Also there is the new random event that switches an AIs alignment, but then again I think thats only in the beta.

Would a new minor get all the alignment-restricted techs as well as the regular ones??

citahellion -- Everything. As far as I can tell, tech alignment requirements are only checked when listing it as a research possibility, and in no way preclude receiving it from other means or of using it.

Wow, lucky for me no new minor ever came along after I had researched my incredibly unbalancing "Dark Side of the Force" tech....
