bootskin problem...

when it starts up it doesnt work

i remember seeing a post with someone talkin about the same problem and i couldnt find the post so im just gunna ask.. alright well i did all the bootskin stuff and everyhing and when i checked to see if it worked it did, but then my system would not load up.. i had to go under safemode and put back the settings for it to load up... alrgiht so what do i have to change so i can have it work?

Is It a bootskin you edited yourself
Maybe its 16 million colours
It needs to be 16 colours

I have the same problem with one skin : but I don't know how to go under safe mode, can someone tell me please ?

The progress bar needs to be made of the same EXACT 16 color pallette as the Bootskin image itself. The progress bar can only be 22 x 9 as well. bootskin is 640 x 480 in 16 colors.
