Thanks Doug. It kind of goes with my "super secret project" hehe

It's something that I don't really *need* to do, but it would be a nice optional element... and I agree that the Drengin ships should probably have been red to begin with.
I'll think it over some more and do some more experimenting.

I don't know about *any* graphics program... some ar ea LOT easier to do recoloring with then others! Photoshop has a lot of functions to do this quickly and easily (color replace, hue/saturation layers, alpha channels, etc.), but yeah your point is exactly what I'm getting at - with the raw files it would take a lot less time.
The bulk of the project involves other stuff though - cropping, rotating, filmstripping, encoding... thank goodness there are a couple of utility programs already designed for this (ship rotater & ship encoder), but it's still tedious work
Plus my personal interpretation of the Drengin red shading may be too red for some or not red enough for others, etc. etc.
