WinCustomize 2K5 Roll-Out: Release

WinCustomize 2K5 Roll-Out: Release

Let us know what we need to improve..

It's been a bumpy launch so far.  This isn't just an update to the old site, it's a completely new site.

My biggest #1 priority is for us to get the site faster. MUCH faster. New features are likely going to have to wait until we get the site faster. But let us know what you think and what we need to work on the most in your opinon.

For some reason "after we have signed in" we find ourselves "signed out" just by going from one page to another. I'd say this happens frequently.

This may be a small issue, and only showing up on a dial-up connection as I have: When going through the "galleries", The page loads faster than the old site, but stalls while loading the "Site Meter" at the bottom. Untill it has completely loaded, I can't scroll down the page. I don't know if this is a Firefox issue or not. I havent checked how IE performs. Keep up the good work, it's getting better day by day.

Found two improvements....
When you click on someone's name, there is now a View My Skins link only thing I would like to see added there is that when you click on someone's name, it opens a pop-up like the old site did so you don't leave the page your on.

Personal sites now have the ability to have your own personal links that show up own your homepage.

I like it. It is nice to come back and be greeted by a whole new design.

No problems with the design or layout of the new site - it's great!

For some reason however, Firefox won't display the 'tabs' at the top i.e 'Home', 'Gallery', 'Newest' etc.

There's just a blank space - but if I hover the mouse over the area I can see the popup tips and the mouse pointer changes to the 'pointing hand' shape. I can even click on them and they work.

Anyone else experiencing this? Maybe it's just a cookie/security setting in Firefox that needs tweaking?

OK, so it was a Firefox setting.

One other matter that seems to be browser independant...

The 'update images' page, the previously updated images show the 'broken' symbol instead of the image preview.

While I think of it, I also tried to edit my previous post (using SDC) but it gave me a 'forbidden' error.
