Why always with the white background?

[WARNING! RANT]

For ages now I've seen all sorts of great WindowBlinds skins, but there always seems to be one thing that drives me nuts. I'll download a really nice looking skin of any colour, and or shade, but for some reason the Author has decided to keep that glaring white background colour inside the windows. Come on. That colour does not, and should not be white when nothing else in the skin is. I understand that people have gotten used to seeing their icons sitting on a white background, but try changing it every once in a while. WindowBlinds was designed to customize things, so why keep them the same.

Usually the first thing I do now when downloading a skin is look for one of the colours to change the window background to. I have really grown to hate the white background. Am I the only person that has noticed/gotten annoyed by this.

[END RANT]

I'm really not trying to be a troll here or anything. This is just meant to be food for thought.

If the background isnt white, it causes issues in some other programs, such as msn messenger. I also have issues in my Office programs if it isnt white. For the most part, the issues are cosmetic, but if a skin has something other than white, I edit it to be white, just to avoid annoyance.

JD said it best. Some parts of a skins are better off left at default. I have try using other colors as oppose to white and I got a lot of problems with other programs (some images cant be seen, text are hard to read, Icons shadows dont show, etc.
If you read the comments on some of the skins that have other colors (as you would like) you'll noticed how many complains from users that cant read the fonts, some mouse pointers look invisible, etc.
But you can always edit this colors your self with SkinStudio. After all, that is what customizing is all about
