TGA files in PSP 8.1

I need to make a tga file in PSP 8.1 but the "transparent" sections keep showing up black. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known issue? Seems I remember seeing something about this being on the boards 6-8 months ago.

That's one of the bugs that Jasc never fixed before moving on to version 9. If this is for WindowBlinds/SkinStudio, your best bet is using png. In SkS. go to Tools > Preferences > Image editors .... check the option "Convert TGA to PNG before using image editors" and any TGA file you edit will be in the PNG format. You can also import PNG files, and they'll be converted to TGA when you Save the skin.

If the TGA's are meant for use with SkinStudio, you might as well use PNG's
For some reason(s) SkinStudio doesnt like TGA's made in PSP
(Not necessarily SkinStudio's fault though!!)

I'm actually trying to recreate the seperator in Rightclick. I'll see if I can find another prog to make the object.
