I've been using this application since it came out (It began its life as BoxIP). I would almost certainly say it is spyware free. I believe the free version may show you ads from a direct database in the program itself. The full version has no advertising. Another benefit to the full version is the advanced email feature which allows you to see the mail on your server and delete it directly before trying to download it (handy if someone has sent you a file way too big to download).

It has built in spam filters and the ability to add to the spam filters yourself etc. You can add smileys and other fun features if you're so inclined as well. There are more features than I can use anyhow

Plus it's skinnable. I know... I've made some skins for it
