OD Plus 1.05 creating new System Tray Tab is blank!

I just bought and downloaded OD+ today and tried to add a System Tray tab to the default tabbed dock that comes with the install. After adding the tab, which is labelled "System Tray", the tab is there but there are no icons displayed.

Please help! Is it just me not knowing the product or a "feature"???

On the bright side, the Taskbar tab with the default tabbed dock is populated and works (grouped and ungrouped).

I *just* bought and downloaded OD Plus myself. The default dock has a tab already labelled Tray on the right end, and all my systray icons appear on it. Did you restart your computer after you installed it? You might want to try that.

Do you have any virtual desktop of similar software running? I notice OD+ doesn't deal nicely with that sort of thing.

Otherwise, my systray dock works reasonably well. Sometimes an extra (phantom) network adapter icon appears (I can right-click it to make it go away) and the Offline Synchronization icon is usually blank if I'm connnected to the LAN.

Rebooting cured that problem. Thanks.

The only thing now is that OD+ does not play well with Object Bar with Virtual Desktops turned on (all Object Desktop products). The original windows desktop is the home for the default tabbed dock and the normal dock that I have attached to the right side of the screen. When I change desktops, the only thing I see is the Task Manager icon from the System Tray on the right and no other icons or the background.

I remember having the same problem with the free ObjectDock product as well.

OD+ doesnt work well with virtual desktops or seperate users accounts on the same computer.

I upgraded to OD 1.1 last week. Right after installation, my system tray tab worked just fine. Now, after a reboot, that tab is completely empty. Creating a new tabbed dock also yields an empty system tray tab. There are no other virtual desktops or UI mods running, and I am the only user accout on this computer. I need my system tray tab! Please help!!!

You always have to restart your system first for this feature to work.

Hello! Didn't I say I rebooted and then it was empty? Sorry for the rancor, but this is irritating. One comes to rely on these things to work, and when they don't it causes consternation. (Plus my teenage son is being, well, a teenager. My patience is thin right now.) An obvious flaw like this should have been caught and fixed before releasing the new version, IMHO.
