I'd like to know the difference between object bar and object dock

I've always been a fan of customizing. In fact I've been an OD subscriber for 4 or 5 years now.
When I discovered Object bar, I liked it a lot. Only problem, the tutorial someone wrote for it was incomplete, addressing an older version of the app. So, I just sticked to it using only partially, when I wanted to have fun watching my PC doing the usual things in a different color/flavor. (Not that I don't think OB is useful, but maybe a little obtrusive at times, and a somehow hard to customize.)
Now, here comes object Dock.
Could I say that ODock is a stripped down version of OBar?
ALSO! Can someone tell me if there is a newer version of OBar in store?
Thank y'all!

I think Stardock is working on a brand new version of Object Bar right now and it is due to come out soon. According to Frogboy it is a complete overhaul of the old OB and is is supposed to be sweet....

No. Not even close to that. OD is capable of doing things that ObjectBar will never dream of doing. The application is a completely different extension of the same basic idea: A cool app launcher. However, while OD had basicly stayed an app launcher, it has gotten cooler looking. OB on the other hand, has gotten less looks, and more functions for application interfacing.
