Stardock LogonStudio allows Windows XP users to edit, change, and apply new logon screens. LogonStudio comes built with a visual editor to make it easy to create your own logons which can then be uploaded to websites to be used by others users.

LogonStudio uses .logonxp files rather than requiring users to replace their actual logonui.exe.

LogonStudio is free.

I suggest you do not listen to whomever told you to hack your file. Logonstudio is a much safer way to go than logonxp or whatever its called these days.

Yeah, don't use those system hacking programs. LogonStudio doesn't change your system files. It is the best way to go. If you do modify your system files, nothing that expects your system to be in its full integrity may work properly.

some systems do not work properly with bootskin. You should know that before you get into a huff when it doesnt work.

my dell 2300 hates bootskin
none of the builds will work on it. just don't panic when you get a bsod that shuts down your puter and you boot into a screen asking if you want to boot normally or last stable configuration.
it won't like booting normally, last good config is your best bet.

In each library, there are links near the top of the page, that tell you what program is needed, and where to download it.
