I don't understand. What's not "fairly" working about the current 4.38 beta builds? 4.4 will be released later in August.

https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WCH&id=298403 the only issue I've found with the latest beta

I am still not able to get any of the 4.38 series to work on my notebook. After upgrading and rebooting, my notebook fails to load explorer and all I get is the wall but nothing else, not even the keyboard shortcuts (e.g. ALT-TAB-DEL) will work. The only thing I can do is to reboot into safe mode and uninstall WB.

I reported this problem right away (for WB 4.38a) in the new-group, but the post just seems to have disappeard?

My specs are Athlon XP mobile 2200, 256 RAM, Geforce to Go4, WinXP-home SP1 and all current security updates.

Version 4.38 is only a beta version, but it works just fine here on my notebook. As always for those who have problems with betas, or don't wish to try them, just wait for the final release, as mentioned it should be coming along soon enough.

Just incredible when asking something
I'm just asking for an estimate date for the next 4.38 released version ... did i gave a criticism ?

Yep, as an ODNT subscriber since the very first of it (probably) i know that i can do without beta versions thanks

... and if some have no troubles with latest beta, (just fine for them), some others do have, cf newsgroup (probably the reason why it's still in beta ? )

As a normally intelligent, long term OD subscriber I am fully aware of this

What I am worried about is that no one else seems to have reported similar problems (at least not on the newsgroup) and I have tried to install all versions since 4.38 through to 4.38d and the problem is still not solved.

Dont have the alignment problem but the problem that I've had that popped up around 4.38c with quicklaunch stretching all the way out to the system tray is still there. mildly annoying.

I just had to reload my OS, on my notebook. My shit went absolutely Banannas'! Damn thing, acted like it had a mind of it's own, and my image was stable, before I upgraded WB. Next thing I know Kabloowie.
Damn Screen went to flickering, and stuff started wigging out, like crazy. I thought my Machine was going to blow up! Rebooted with my ghost floppies, and reloaded my image and now it's back to normal. It was totally freaking weird. This Laptop is barely 4 months old. Freaked me out. Scared the BeJesus out of me, I thought "Oh! Crap!" Here we go off to the repair Center. Thank God, for Images.
