One Step back, Two steps forward.

Skinning Chritmas, Day 2, Part 1

Not that this will come as a surprise to anyone who has ever made a Windowblinds skin, I am running a bit behind the. But the good news is I think I am only about a half day behind my proposed schedule.

My main problem today was I pretty much completely abandoned the Titlebar and Frames that I had finished yesterday. Brad pointed out to me that it was a bit Harsh. And I had to admit he was right. The funny thing is that once I got into rethinking it I decided to go with a idea that I had already had, and abandoned yesterday. Once worked out however it is pretty nice, and I wish I had went with it then.

I have a screenshot below, it is pretty scant, I don't want to show the unskined areas since I am doing this based on is a skin that I have not yet made public. But this gives a good Idea of how the skin is coming along.

I am still pretty confident that this will be done by Friday, however I might end up working on the plain to California.

I will Have allot more tomorrow, hopefully you will be able to see the finished Windowblinds skin.

Looks really good. I like the way the title bar looks. Very welcoming. Don't like the inactive window or the inactive window buttons (I think its too light or something... and the buttons are too dark)

Not sure about the background color for the program function pull downs just under the title bar... But I don't see anything else working there so...

I LOVE the task bar with the candy cane stripe. LOVE IT!!!!! PLEASE don't change that!!!

Where are my bells??? I liked the bells you made. Will this be animated??????????????

It looks wonderful overall :)

But the Photoshop menubar is nearly unreadable. It needs more contrast.

I am loving this!! I especially like the active title bar. Never been done to my mind.
I like everything as it is even the background which I recognize.

I don't know which tickles me more - seeing the development or reading about it.

Thanks for sharing.
