SDCentral "updateing"...

For the last 2-3 days, maybe more, EVERY time I run SDCentral, I get dialog that updates(or does it?) to 2.00.293. EVERY time!

Tried uninstalling (through CP - Add/Remove) but got 'a can't find whatever.log' file. Well screw that so I just deleted the folder and Reinstalled what I have (sdc190_beta)

Still does it. Causes no "problems", just annoying, shouldn't be doing it. Suggestions?

TIA

Have you checked the build number after each update? I have 2.00.293 Build 58, since it's a new layout they are probably updating and fixing things on a daily basis..

my SDC is doing the same thing, but it never finishes. gets to the end of downloading updates and never makes it to "installing updates". dialogue box just up and vanishes. also noted that if I click on "show site updates" in the skins and themes section, the whole thing crashes.(no error msg, just ¤poof¤ it's gone!
otherwise it runs smoothly. glad I'm not the only one seeing this happen( the update thing)

In Stardock Central menu - Tools - Settings - make sure under Auto Update that Check for Stardock Central Release updates is checked. The next time you open up SDC it'll update

I was having the same problem...kept telling me there was an update and would never update, then I saw the info I posted above, from either yrag or IP in another post...maybe I missed somthing The only other thing is that I'm using the Chicago server, but that shouldn't matter.

just double checked the settings and re clicked on the "check for stardock central updates on startup" to make sure it was correctly done, still doing the same thing.
hmmm... just reallized I'm using ver 1.91 build 40.
wonder if this is why I'm having problems?
betcha yes?

Copy the 'Install.log' from
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock to C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral. Now uninstall SDC thru the Control Panel. Delete the C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral folder. Re-boot. Download and install SDC https://www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp

Mine was crashing on updates and updating like that too, reinstall seems to have fixed it. Now if it would just stop prompting me about ObjectDock Plus updates all day long. I can't buy it yet....

Right click on Component Tray (SDC) icon in the System Tray and under settings un-check 'Allow Stardock Central to check for Updates' and check 'Do not Check for any Application Updates'. Checking the latter will change the former.

Thanks, will do
Actually I think I'm gonna try "show notifications for installed applications only" and see how that does.
