can't load skins in window blinds

Download them straight to your desktop and then double click the wba file that will show up on your desktop when the download has finished, in the lower right hand corner a tooltip window will show up saying that the skin has been installed and can be applied via the Windowblinds Configuration Window.

Hi, I download the skin,,,the icon appears on my desktop,,,but when I double click on it,,,it does nothing,,,I open window blinds 4 and it is not there,,,any ideas????? Thanks,,,

Now that the file is on your desktop, open WindowBlinds. Hit "Install Skin from Disk", then find the file on the desktop. That might work.

What skin is it?

A Few Thoughts to ponder....
Are you trying to install the skin from the XP Display Properties Menu or From the WB Configuration Menu?
Is the wbconfig.exe in this folder C:\Program Files\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\ ? On two different occassions, don't know how it happened, I've had this file self-destruct and wind up in the trashbin. If it isn't there then I'd uninstall and re-install WB.
Did you previously run a shareware version then upgrade to a payed version without uninstalling the previous version?
If you running a shareware version, has the time expired on it? Not sure about this one since I've never used the shareware version. That's all I got, maybe it'll help

As long as you have your registration details you should be fine

I use to have the same problem, stoped after reinstalling it but had to delete the leftover folder from the last uninstall.

Where did you go to download WB this time?

You have to download it through Stardock Central for it to be seen as the upgraded version.

They sent me a link for the enhanced version a while ago.

You can't register the shareware version. You have to uninstall that, and install the registered version. IF you have the Serial #, number the installation instructions will be included in the email.

How can you find the registered version,,,,,theres only one i can find,,,,,help,,,,,,
