Please help me with an ordinary computer problem

When I try to highlight text it highlights everything> when i try to type in lowercase it types in CAPS and vice versa> when i try to a folder it s that folder and all folders before it>

i held down shift for eight seconds and a message came up saying something about filterkeys> i held it for eight seconds again but i couldnt turn it off> please help me> i cant get anything done>

that last sentece in the first paragraph is supposed to say "when i try to a folder it s that folder and all the folders before it"

Whenever i hit the alt key on accident i cant get anything on the keyboard to work, but that's probably not your problem. Of course you could try it anyway

BTW JD you might want to pick up the new tribal cursorxp theme for your meltdown config, I think the orange and black theme from the set would suit it perfectly.

JD your problem, i believe, is related to stickikeys. it is an accessibility option built into windows. if you hold down shift for so much time, or hit shift 6 times in a row, it activates stickikeys. basically, your shift key becomes locked down. holding shift and clicking on a two folders will highlight all folders in between. holdign shift while typign results in caps. go into your control panel and go to accessibility options, and disable stickikeys. let me know if that helps.

Well, I figured it out by pressing buttons. I held the opposite shift key for 8 seconds for 8 seconds. How easy huh? Thanks DesignCaddy for your help though
