Not sure what program for animation you mean... like flash>?

You have to code WMP skins by hand.
OR, order skinstudio, it can create wmp skins

I assume you mean jasc paint shop pro. That is not really an animation program, its more like a 2d graphic program.

With photoshop you get imageready with it but photoshop is not cheap...
I think flash would be your best change to create animations, witch programs do you all own?

Actually, I believe he was referring to Jasc's Animation Shop, which is bundled with Paint Shop Pro retail editions, at least with PSP 7 & PSP 8, and it does quite a good job of creating avi's for WB. I'm pretty sure several of the skins on here that have custom .avi files have used this program to create them.

not a big jasc fan, have tried a trial once but liked photoshop much better.

Could try the little program created by stardock called 'anutil' or something simular to that, ment for create animated .png files for cursor xp..... should work

Not to hijack the thread, but if you haven't tried PSP 8, Styl, you really ought to give it a chance. The 30-day free trial from JASC is a full working edition with only the time limits. I have been using Photoshop since version 3.0, but the really amazing improvements Jasc has made with PSP 8, I decided not to upgrade from Photoshop 7 to CS. PSP 8 is really that good in my opinion. And it is one hell of a lot less expensive.

still working with ps 7, have tried the beta of psp 8 but just prefer to stick to the familair

I'm sure he did............ what seems to be the problem? There are 5 links to animation software on the page, 4 of them, state that they are Freeware, not sure about the 5th.
