Boot Screen Creations ??

I made a boot screen in 16 bit colors for winxp home. When i boot everything works just fine but the colors on my image dont look like i made them to look. They are blurry and distorted kinda look psychedelic.
I was wondering if i have to import the color palette that i used to make the image into windows and if so how and where do i put it ?? Thanx for the help in advance

16 bit colors

That should be 16 COLORS 4BIT. If your image is 16 bit, that's your problem.

I made a mistake when posting, I meant that it is 16 colors 4bit. I made the logo first but wasn't paying attention to what i saved it as (bit-wise) then saved it as a bitmap, then made the layout that you normally see when booting and added the logo that i made as a new layer. Then i merged all layers visible then saved the entire layout as a 16 color 4bit. Once i created the ntoskrnl.exe and edited the boot.ini and rebooted the colors on the logo & some of the text were distorted as previously explained. I hope i explained what i did a bit better in this post. Below is a link to the image how it is supposed to look.

oh, well nevermind anyway,  I thought you referring to the BootSkin program, which is much safer than replacing ntoskml.exe. I know nothing about what you're dong other than, I want nothing to do with it.   Most everyone here is going to suggest you try BootSkin, I imagine.  https://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/  it's free
