🐛 5 AltTabby Bugs (0.9) ⭢ [ 1:Group-Chips-MMB-Unclosable | 2:Non-Firefox-Tabs-As-Children | 3:Missing-Icon-Mode-Uncollapse-Menu | 4:Chrome-Missing-Tab-Nest-Support | 5:Config-Wont-Release-Catalog ]
Many specifics.
Windows Version Number: 25H2
App Version: 0.9
1 | 🪲 Occurs in these combos:
When 'Advanced Option'
✅ 'Close Windows on Middle Click' is on ✓
And 'Style Option'
✅ "Thumbnail View" option 'Group children as chips' is on ✓
→ 'Group-Children-Chips' won't close on MMB click, this is ONLY broken only inside "Open Windows", Pinned windows work. Thumbnails style work.
This happens in Chrome and Edge but not Firefox for some reason. consistent in all interface types (view types) other than the Carousel view
🐞 Extra 4 bugs:
2 | You can't see Chrome and Edge browser-TABs as cumulative-children inside grouped-same-window, but you can for Firefox. should be same cumulative method for all. (inconsistent)
3 | You can't see nested-children-windows when 'Icons in a row' style is ON, ONLY inside 'pinned'. Nothing to un-collapse (not ideal)
4 | Chrome Browser Multi-tabs-inside-one-window don't group at all. The only show as distinct chrome windows and not as multi children. (This works for Edge and Firefox), Basically tabs incorrectly spawn as standalones. (Major)
5 | 🐛 The 5th bug:
Even when "Should AltTabby remain open once the hotkey is released" is set to "✗ Never", when you:
Hold Alt-Tab → Press the right-top-corner Gear-icon → Open Config
The whole window-catalog stays on as if it's on Sticky mode.
And it stays that way even if you click outside.
⭐ Ideal scenario:
1: Alt-Tab window-picker catalog closes instantly
2: The newly-opened config-window is focused right after clicking it
3: Consider making AltTabby's own config window higher than the window-picker-catalog in Z priority
4: Also make the config window always spawn in the designated screen in which the Alt-Tab menu opens, in the middle of it. Config>Alt-Tab-Panel = Highest editing ready-ness
✏️ Edit: All of these are highly worth a test WITH and WITHOUT the ('Advanced Option'—"Hide Pinned apps from opened windows")
