UI: 2.8
File version: 2.8.0.2
Adds in support for the new Win11 26H2 taskbar updates to respect Windows settings.
Positions are respected only when set to "Allow Windows to control taskbar position", which is the default on a clean install.
The OS only allows all monitors to use the same setting, but you can resize the bars when using Enhanced Taskbar mode. If you want different positions, then use the Start11 options.
Fixes an issue with vertical taskbars on secondary displays.
Fix for some vertical taskbar issues, including blank icons for Microsoft Edge when in Uncombined mode.
Fix for Start button when Enhanced Taskbar is not enabled.
Addresses an issue with icons being wrong for a couple of apps on Enhanced Taskbar.
Disabled custom right click taskbar menu when disabling all Start11 taskbar features.
Performance improvements for all machines but especially ARM CPUs.
Known issues
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.
Below is a copy from my postsin Beta 2.74.
Not only nothing has been fixed, no information after I asked again during the previous beta updates, I realised now that with the "STABLE" v2.8 the issue has degraded and now we cannot click AT ALL , no matter how high the taskbar is set, impossible to click on the "Power and Sleep Settings"
:Hi Nikosyan, and thank you for clarifying.
Back to the issue of not being able to click on the Power and Sleep settings:
Like this :
I can click on it
Like this if you click on it nothing happens, :
Just drag the taskbar higher, the option to click also moves higher but not possible to click it.
I've reproduced the same and have it logged.
Thanks again and best regards,

I just updated Star11 to v2.8 and my taskbar and start menu blur and taskbar transparency are gone on Windows 11 Home version 25H2 build 26200.9168. (See thread for entire saga so far.)
Haalee says Enhanced Taskbar matters. I've never had it enabled. Most of my Start11 settings are just default.
Moderator: Please don't report an issue on multiple threads. Your original thread is getting the attention of the developers and is your best chance for a solution.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do know that you will need to turn on Enhance taskbar to allow Start11 to take control the taskbar from Default Windows.

For the past year or so, I haven't been able to download from the links in my account. I guess cachefly.net might be blocked in China. Please add an address that can be accessed.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe it is best to use VPN service for this or at least try free Cloudflare WARP.

Hi, this is about semi-issue with link icons loading when using folders as tabs. I only use folder tabs. There are multiple tabs with many links with dedicated icons e.g. for games, to be clear. It takes long seconds before I can see the content of the first open (active) tab. After links/icons are loaded switching tabs is instant. Most likely icons are cached. I do not know if Start11 is using Windows icon cache. I had this problem since the beginning Start11 usage. As I said, this is not functionality breaking issue, rather the result of significant amount of links with icons.
Sometimes Start11 decides to reload icons so I must wait again. Wouldn't optional RAM cache be a good idea to avoid subsequent icons loading/refreshing?

As of v2.8, if I remove the Start icon on my secondary monitor it leaves that entire space empty and does not slide over other windows like every prior version did.
Example:

Hello all,
We now have a Beta version of Start11 v2 available, which addresses an issue with centered taskbar button alignment (on secondary monitors when taskbar is on the bottom).

What about the issue I described above? I had to roll back to 2.7.4.

This is caused by the same issue so yes 2.81 should resolve it for you.
