We've now updated the Open Beta for AltTabby to version 0.8.1.0.

For complete changes, please see:

@mrcut, this update includes a fix for the issue with pinned profiles in Brave.

@ppetroff60, for the Russian installer, the setup/installer will now show in English for the time being.

Feature request: Catalan localisation (and/or a language selector)

Hi,

I'm testing the AltTabby beta and wanted to ask about language support.

AltTabby currently ships with nine languages, but not Catalan. My Windows display language is Catalan, so the app falls back to English. Would you consider adding Catalan to the list? It's spoken by around 10 million people and is the system language for a good number of Windows users in Spain, Andorra and southern France.

If a full localisation isn't realistic, a simpler alternative would help just as much: an in-app language selector, so users can pick the interface language independently of the Windows display language. In my case I'd happily use the Spanish interface you already ship — I just have no way to select it without changing my entire system language.

Either option would be welcome. Thanks for considering it.

Loving the customization of this app, but it's current state is essentially not usable for me.

Sometimes it will run once, then not again until relaunched.

Even though it shows as running in the system tray (and 2 processes in task manager), it stops intercepting alt-tab after:

- waking from sleep

- dismissing the screensaver / waking the screen after it was idle

- sometimes after restarting

AltTabby v 0.81

Windows 11 Pro 25H2
OS build    26200.9278
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.360.0

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try, uninstall AltTAbby, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

Basj,

Stardock Community  Assistant.

This looks very promising, but the feature that looks most useful to me doesn't quite work as I'd like...

If I use the search function to jump to a specific tab in a multi-tab application (e.g. my mail tab in Firefox), the window is focused (i.e. gets keyboard input) but the tab is not. Window-level shortcuts (ctrl-tab to cycle through tabs, alt-space to bring up the window operations menu) work, but I have to click on the input area in order for the tab to receive keyboard input.

Also just noticed that the "Disable AltTabby" button is irreversible within a login session, I had to sign out & back in again to get AltTabby to work again.

All you have to do is open AltTabby config and select a style.

You can pick the language used from the about page in AltTabby configuration screen.  It is at the bottom right of the window.

Nope. No effect, hence my original post.

That's unusual. It works on my system everytime.

As a test, open the AltTabby Config app and once open, right-click the AltTabby icon in the taskbar and select Pin to taskbar.

Now choose Disable AltTabby and close the config app. Then click the AltTabby icon in the taskbar to open the config app and select a style. This should reestablish the AltTabby service.

If this is not the case, then something else is causing an issue.
