Start 11 started losing icons today

Today when I did a restart on my machine, it restarted and all of my desktop icons were gone. I did lots of looking online and tried many of the ideas offered to delete the icon folder, restart explorer etc. Finally after suspecting maybe something with Start 11, I did more searches and AI told me there were issues TODAY with that problem. I did what it suggested and it did not help. Then I uninstalled Start 11 and restarted. I managed to get my icons all back and onto the main screen (I have 3 monitors).  I then re-downloaded Start 11 and activated, then reestablished my settings. Everything was good until I went to move the taskbar to the top of the screen and when I told it to do that, things flashed and the icons disappeared. When I reverted the taskbar back to the bottom of the screen, they re-appeared. So, something is amiss. I now have Start 11 installed, but taskbar at the bottom. Awaiting news that a fix is out so I can get back on top!
