Possible headache coming

You can choose to ignore this because it involves a preview build, but I installed Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.8493) and explorer just kept restarting. I immediately thought it may be a conflict with Start 11 because this update was supposed include the option to move the Taskbar. I rolled back Windows, uninstalled Start 11 and reinstalled the update, but there was no change and Explorer just kept resarting. So I presume Start11 may not be the issue. But because I just did a regular uninstall of Start11 and didn't strip everything out of the registry, it still may be the source of the problem and I'm not ready to do a clean install of Windows to find out.

I'm on a Surface Pro 8 running Windows 11 Pro.

I have seen one similar report on Windows Feedback hub, but in their case the screen went black after login and I don't know it they were running Start 11 or any similar software.

In any case, this is just an FYI. I have rolled back Windows and plan to reinstall Start 11 for now.

Insider Experimental Preview Build 26300.8493 probably still has some real issues at this point. Remember, this is Microsoft we're talking about. I am sure that Stardock has seen this coming for a while and are prepared. ;)

Okay, so I couldn't resist. I did an in-place reinstall of windows with the latest Dev version 26300.8493 and it cleaned up the issues I was having even after uninstalling Start11. I then installed Start11 and restored my saved settings and everything works perfectly again. I never move the task bar from the bottom, but I tested and the new native Windows options work fine with Start11 installed although I don't use the enhanced task bar functions and don't have any reason to.

I really didn't think it was my system misbehaving because it had been stable for so long.
