Won't launch

My game will not Launch, have tried launching it from Epic games and a desktop shortcut. It opens the window with a white screen, Sins of the solar Empire in the header of the top left corner and then immediately closes. I uninstalled and re-installed and that didn't work.

 Today i launched the game and it worked but my mods are disabled again. They don't even show up in the mods tab. I never installed any of the mods, after the update. So i don't know why that would affect the game during start up. It's pretty disappointing the lack of feed back, what's the point of having forums for submitting bugs or game issue, if nobody bothers to respond.
