Unfortunately there is not an option to compact the pace between listings, but there is a way to force a scrolling list instead of multiple menus.
It is an approved and published Registry string.
- Stop Start11 making menus multi column and instead use a scrolling list
Add a New String Value key and name it S11_AlwaysScrollMenus and
set the Value data to 1
Create this new string key in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8
