Fences 5 activation issue after laptop format

Hello,

I am having an issue with Fences 5 purchased on Steam. After completely formatting my laptop, I wanted to reinstall Fences, but I received a message saying that the license is already active on another computer, even though this is my only computer.

On another computer I have Fences 4 installed, so this should not be the cause of the problem.

I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. For Steam purchase, please install and activate only via Steam Client. If the license is active on another computer, it will ask if you wish to deactivate it, if you pick yes it should than activate it on your new system.

When the activation message appears saying that Fences is being activated on a new computer, I click Continue, the window closes for a moment, and then the same activation message appears again. This happens repeatedly in an endless loop, and the program never finishes activation. On the Stardock website, in the “My Downloads” section, I can see both products: Fences 4 and Fences 5. However, in the “Order History” section, I can only see Fences 4, even though both products were purchased through Steam.

Because of this, I am unable to deactivate the active computer on the website. No other computer should be active, as my laptop was the only device on which Fences 5 was installed — I simply performed a full system format.

As a result, I am now stuck in an activation loop and cannot use the software.

I would appreciate your help in resetting or fixing the activation.

Please refer to this guide: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1260093488/Activation+Error:+205, scroll down to "Steam Purchases" try those steps, if all fail, please follow the directions for collecting you activation logs and creating a ticket for it.
