Snapshot issue

Desktop snapshot restore not working

When I try to restore a previous snapshot of Fences, it does not work.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number.
  2. Fences full version number.

Windows 11 24H2  OS 26100.6584.

Fences 4.22.

Most but not all of the icons that were in a folder have moved to the desktop.

I believe Fences v4 not compatible with Windows 11. Please do 30 days free trial on Fences 6 and see if the issue appear. Do note that you probably need to rearrange everything again manually and take a new snapshot. Reboot and see if the saved layout work.

Also note that Fences has improved its layout engine since Fences 5, which work better on Windows 11 and multi-monitor system.
