Start11 now longer works after a reboot

I have used the Purge program twice and reinstalled software twice but every time I reboot the computer Start11 no longer works correctly.

When I click the Start Button I still have the Win 11 look until I click "Start>Pinned>All" then it works correctly ti the Win 10 look that I selected the first time I installed the program.

As a retired IT Manager for the City of Philadelphia, PA for 30 years I ran "SFC /Scannow", after that I run DISM. Running DISM with the following options; Check, Analyze, Scan, Cleanup and then Online Repair in that order. I have done this after each uninstall using the purge program and then reinstall the Start11 which works until I reboot.  After each reboot the Start11 service is running but the program still does not work correctly.

When I pay for a program I expect it to work!!!!!!!!  What gives?????????????

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Yes, we have need more information. We need to know.

  1. Your system Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Your Start11 full version numbers currently installed.
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party application that also change how the Start Panel/Taskbar/Explorer work.

Thank you,
Basj,

Sorry I for got to include this in my original post. I upgraded from Win 10 Pro x64 to Win 11 Pro x64 24H2 with all the latest windows updates.

Start11 version 2.53 paid version for 5 users. No other 3rd party apps that change the Start Panel. Like I said I just upgraded to Win 11 Pro two days ago but I HATE the Start Panel in Win 11!!!! Hence buying Start11. All my software is checked for updates 2 or 3 times per day. As a retired IT Geek patching and security is always my highest concern. I also us 0patch software that runs in the SysTray for real time security patches.

Reread your post and I notice you mentioned Start11 used to work before, so what changed that causing it no longer work? Windows update from Windows 10 or 11? Or It was working while in Windows 11, but new Windows 11 update make it not work? New software updates or new application install? Anything that might help narrow down the issue.

Also, we still need the full OS Build number. Please use Windows own "Winver.exe" to get these numbers. Something like my screenshot below.

I installed the program after the update to Win 11 and all Patch Tuesday patches installed and then I install Start11. It only worked after install but as soon as you reboot it no longer works. If you then run Start11 it works but only for a few minutes and then is defaults back to Win 11 look.

See attached file requested. Winver

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version Start11v2.55 (Beta) available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

End of spammeforever's quote

This tell me something else is causing Start11 to stop working properly. Perhap, if you have not done it already, do a Cleanboot steps: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1334935592/Start11+Clean+Boot. Try the steps with care, report back.
