start11 hierarchical menu

Hello,

I have recently installed start11 on w11. I'm using modernstyle start menu and I've chosen to display

the shortcuts "computer" and "my documents" as menu (and not link).

Sometimes, it works as I wished, I mean I can reach any folder/file at any depth displaying it with the mouse

but sometimes it only shows subfolders at the first level.

And I don't know why ?

Any explanation/ideas to fix this behaviour ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can not reproduce your issue. Just as a test, when the issue appear on your system. And, you do an explorer.exe restart. Does the issue goes away?

How to restart explorer.exe: https://www.howtogeek.com/198815/use-this-secret-trick-to-close-and-restart-explorerexe-in-windows/

If that don't work. Please report back and we need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these number.
  2. Start11 full version number installed

mystart11 version is 2.53 and w11 version is 24H2 build 26100.4946

In order to clarify, the expected behaviour is on the second picture (you can see the picture folder expanded). And on the first picture,  the folder ordinateur is not !

This only happen on "Computer" or "This PC" yes? Perhaps it is due to its your root directory. If you set it, for example, your E drive does it work then?

Yes you're right. If I put the "E" drive in the menu, it expands perfectly. If I put the folder where my document is, it also works perfectly

but under "my computer" or "my documents", I only have access to the first level : strange...

If you use add-> add Custom location->Browse to -> "c:\users\xxxxxx(your username)\documents". This should work for your My documents.
