Start 11 Taskbar moves when I start a Command Prompt

Hi I am using Start 11 2.53 in Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2, (OS Build 26.100.4770), AMD 8700G CPU, 64GB Ram.
I have the Taskbar set to the top of the Screen and Left aligned.
Command Prompt is pinned to the Start Menu.
When I run a Command Prompt as Administrator I get a flash on the Screen and the Task Bar jumps from the Top to the Bottom of the Screen and back to the Top again.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue please
Regards Tarham

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Hi Basj
Thank you for the reply.
I uninstalled Start 11v2, redownloaded the application and reinstalled.
I still have the issue and have narrowed it down to if I have a Web Browser Open and ran the Command Prompt as an Administrator the issue occurs. A non Administrator command prompt is fine.
I have replicated the issue with Brave, Edge and Opera Browsers.

Perhaps it is something that conflicting with Start11, would like to suggest to try Cleanboot; https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1334935592/Start11+Clean+Boot. Do note that Cleanboot need to done with care. Try it and report back.

Hi Basj
Thank you for the reply.
I created a new user account and logged in.
The taskbar was just the default Windows taskbar so I am unsure how the procedure in the link you posted will help.
I also narrowed it down to having a hidden taskbar.
I think I will forget about the issue for now.

We asked to create new account, because sometimes, original admin get corrupted. With a new account it is like a new fresh account. After that is done, you will need download and use the supply file to Start10 services and see if the issue persists. If it is not than you should carry on the rest of those steps.

Thank you,

When you say you are using an autohide taskbar, do you mean using the Start11 setting using enhanced taskbar, or the OS setting?

Hi Neil
Thank you for the reply.
I am using the Start 11 enhanced taskbar setting.
I prefer the taskbar at the top of the screen and if I use the system setting it moves the taskbar to the bottom of the screen and locks it there overriding the Start 11 setting.
I also tried locking the taskbar from the Start 11 Menu at the top of the screen and when I opened a Command Prompt as an Administrator the taskbar moved to the bottom of the screen.

I ran some tests using Powershell and Terminal which I opened up as an Administrator and both opened up without issue.
I have decided I will use Terminal in the future and forget about Command Prompt.
Thanks to everyone who replied,
