Desktop goes black

When moving around the screen with mouse or opening folders, desktop will change from default blue to black.  Event happens randomly  and not repeatable as to a specific folder or mouse action.  Need to open fences, go to "Welcome" tab and disable Fences to restore desktop to default color.  Operating system is Widows 11.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Fences full version number installed.

Thank you,

Running Windows 11.

Note:  This problem was also occurring with Windows 10 but has become more frequent since upgrading to 11.

I will update to Beta 2.

Screenshot of what happens.   On some occasions, the screen goes completely black.

Hi hharrison– we're starting to see a trend around users using solid colors and having this problem on an intermittent basis. Is the problem resolved by creating a solid-color image and setting that as your wallpaper instead? Would be helpful to know if so. https://mdigi.tools/solid-color-image-generator/
