I don't believe, Fences 3 is fully compatible with current Windows 11. Please do the free trial on Fences 6 and see if the issue appear.

Will an upgrade to Fences 6 preserve all of my current fences and settings? Why doesn't Fences prompt me to upgrade when an upgrade is available?

Your setting should still be there. But to be sure, you can use this guide to backup your save layouts. https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1416429609/Backup+of+Fences+Configuration+Settings.

I installed Fences 6.0 without difficultly. Only had to make minor position changes to my existing fences. Fences now align with each other even more easily. Backups are now saving normally.

Just for our information to make sure it's working – you should have received an in-app notification about v5.0 update last year ~March. (We haven't yet sent the notice about v6.) Wondering if you remember seeing that notice about v5.0?
I don't recall...if I had, I would have definitely upgraded because I love this software! However, I notice on your web site for Fences 5: "Available for Business Purchasing Only" and that is vaguely familiar...maybe that's why I didn't upgrade then?
When you deploy the in-app notification for v6, if you want me to check I'd be happy to... Although, will I not receive a notification because I now have v.6 (Beta 2) ?
