Fences' keyboard extension does not appear to be loaded. You may need to restart your system or reinstall Fences.

Hello, I'm encountering an error in Fences 6:

"Fences' keyboard extension does not appear to be loaded. You may need to restart your system or reinstall Fences."

Here's what I've tried so far:

  • Uninstalled using the Purge tool and reinstalled Fences

  • Restarted my computer

None of these steps worked. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

BTW, clicked "Apply Rules Now" in the Rules settings (no response)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please check if Fences is configured to start up properly, refer here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1397358593/How+to+Enable+%2F+Disable+Fences+for+other+users.

Note that Fences need to be loadup twice on Startup for it to work properly. Check that first and report back.

Thank you,

I have the same problem. I am a Chinese user, currently using Fences 6. First, I encountered a garbled problem in the installation interface. Why hasn't it been fixed yet? Secondly, my English level is not enough to support me to understand the English solution webpage you provided. Is there a simpler solution suitable for Chinese users? I paid more than 200 RMB for this software and hope to have a good experience! Please reply to me with a solution as soon as possible, preferably by email!
