TaskBar preview images on wrong side of Task Bar

I have used Start11 for years. I purchased the original v1 some time ago. I purchased the product solely for this feature:

As of today, when hovering over a taskbar icon, the task preview is now very left aligned, despite app icons being center aligned. In this screenshot, my mouse is over the brave icon.

I have reinstalled twice. Once traditionally, the second using the PURGE bat file from the FAQ, each time rebooting the PC before reinstalling. This did not fix the issue. I updated my NVIDIA drivers to the latest today.

Start11 v1, version 1.55

Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, OS build 22631.4890

One ultrawide monitor

No other start/ taskbar programs installed

If I set the taskbar alignment (including start button) to center, it works fine for a few minutes but then the app icons start gently shaking back and forth. However, I do not want center alignment. As stated before, the only reason I purchased this product is so that my start menu can be left aligned while my taskbar icons are center. Please advise. I really love this feature.

This is only an issue with Startt11 v1 and only became so as Windows 'evolved' and after Start11 v2 was release.

That said, Start11 v2 does not have this issue.  If you would like to install the trial to verify this, you can get it here:

You can then purchase Start11 v2 at a discount (for being a Start11 v1 owner) here:

Thanks for the reply. I saw on the website that users that purchased start11 v1 after a certain date would get an upgrade for free. I am not sure what my purchase date was.

Is start11 v1 no longer being supported? Why would I have to purchase the product a second time to get the new version?

Free versions of Start11 v2 would have been automatically applied to an account if the purchase of Start11 v1 was made withing 30 days of release.  Yours was not in that window.

Start11 v1 is not (nor has it been for some time) actively developed but we lightly support it where possible.

Start11 v2 is a purchased product much like any new version is for other developers.  We believe the asking price of sub $10 USD (cheaper for you being a prior version wonder) is a fair asking price for the development investment.  There are a ton of new features in Start11 v2 as well as it being still very actively developed for.
