Start11: Multimonitor taskbar scale bug

Taskbar takes half of the screen

Hello.

My taskbar on one of my monitors started to take half of the screen space. It happened when I restarted Windows with enabled Enchanced Taskbar. Also I have missing Start button on Monitor 1 while I didn't switch it off. Turning it on\off doesn't help.

Maybe this bug happened because windows did some updates when I restarted it.

Info: Start11 2.51, Windows11 26100.3194

Hi.

Another Update: I reinstalled Start11 and with default settings it worked fine but as soon as I loaded my settings bug reproduced. Then I reinstalled Start11 again, re-did my setting from the scratch and it started to work correctly

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Do you have any other application that change how your taskbar work?
  4. Also, if you use default Start11 start button, do you have the same issue?

Thank you,

1. Microsoft Windows 11. Version 24H2 (0S Build 26100.3194)

2. Start11 v2.51

3. No, only Start11

4. Default Start11 works correctly. Bug kicked in after windows restart (when windows did its updates) with Enhanced Taskbar enabled.

At the moment Start11 works correctly (I reinstalled it and re-did my custom changes)

Hello. Just noticed that when I tweak taskbar transparency Start button disappears on Monitor 1. I clicked Reset, restarted Windows and it appeared again.

Is the issue still appear if you restart explorer.exe. How to restart explorer.exe : Try it and report back.

The taskbar being large will have happened because Start11 was told it had been resized by the user to a larger size.

This would then be saved and so importing the settings would again do this.

Did you perhaps click on the edge of the taskbar and then your mouse moved up the screen at any point?

To avoid this you can lock the taskbar which will prevent it being resized by right clicking it and picking the lock option.

No, it appeared after Windows restart (with updates installation). After second Windows restart (with updates installation) this bug appeared on the other monitor. Reinstallation of start11 fixed the problem

Hello. My Start button again glitches. It happens on monitor 1. It was blinking and then disappeared. Explorer restart doesn't help

Update: Turns out my icon of Microsoft Copilot took the role of Start button on Monitor1. I'm also not able to place my icons to the bottom right corner of Monitor2. They jump to the left side of the monitor

Update2: I restarted PC again and Start button on Monitor1 appeared again. But I still not able to place my icons in that corner

Update3: I placed my icons on the bottom left corner of Monitor1, then moved to bottom right corner of Monitor2 and it fixed the problem
