I was wondering how long you would have to be on the sit to be an old person. Also, how do you get to be a Sir?(or how much more I have to do)

...not sure how long you'd have to sit...but if your birthday is the same or before Jafo's, then you qualify as being old.

...still no 'winkies'....

LMAO @ Yrag

Meow, sit tight and eventually you'll get old.

Also, how do you get to be a Sir?(or how much more I have to do)

The prefix on your nickname can be change by clicking on Edit Account/Personal Information and then choose a prefix from the Title menu.
Of course, the 'Sir' title wont be available if you are just a citizen. Titles are added to the list as you go up on levels due to contributions to the site or purchase of products from StarDock. )

Hadn't heard before that titles were added as you go up in levels for purchasing products

Titles go up as you get promoted, not a level change.

That's what I thought....just making sure I didn't miss something new I hadn't heard about before

Yeah, my mistake. Let me re-phrase that.
Purchase of products increases your User Level (1,2,3 or 4)
Contribution to the site/skin community raises your User Class (Visitor, Citizen, Apprentice, etc)

/me hopes he got it right now. Its been a while and Im so tired today

Yes....you cannot purchase community 'social ranking'....though if anyone wishes to try I'd be happy to set up a Swiss Bank Account......nudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean?....

Yes Jafo, I know what you mean. I am at level 3, but when I said "sit" I meant site! I might need to have someone check my work. I have put 6 or 7 skins on the site. I was wondering if Koasati might know.(or someone else!)

Also, how do I display where I live in the account profile thingy(you know, where it shows your desktop, nickname, and user ID)?

Advancement comes through being 'noticed' in a positive way by the site's admins....and sometimes other 'senior' members will suggest promotions as well.

Needless to say the 'notice' must be in a positive light.....contribution/s help, comments, etc.

'6 or 7' skins is stepping in the right direction....and I'm almost permanently glued to this board so names rarely go unnoticed....)

Don't quote me but I think that function may currently be disabled....[site works]...

BTW, *Meow??* ....you have a bootskin that needs a re-upload of its preview....didn't you get the email?...
Oh, is that what went in my spam filter?
Which one is it?

Hawaii Edition....
Oh. it says it is waiting approval though...
I'll put it public....then just upload as an 'update'...
wait, so which is better? stardock customer or WC subscriber? or are you guys not supposed to say?
There is really no 'better'. A SD customer contributes to the 'mother' company which in result will help maintain part of WC. A WC subscriber will contribute directly to the WC site and take off some of the load from SD.
Financial contribution and contribution via upload work it's what differs on the user level/class you get here. )

Neither is 'better'....they generally are the same people....

Direct support of this site is via the WC subscription [makes sense]

Purchase of Stardock products indirectly assists....and helps demonstrate an on-going interest/involvement with the world of skins and skinning through their use.

Longer-standing community members are generally both.....
