Incorrect keyboard output

I am on a trial of Multiplicity 4.0. Love the product but am running into an intermittent bug. Sometimes when connecting to the secondary computer (after it has gone to sleep) or more rarely when just switching to it, the keyboard output is not correct. Here is an example when pressing on the - key:

zxcvbnm,............................

The output varies at first and then settles into a single character that is different for each key and is not the key pressed. The only way I've found to get the keyboard working properly is to type a character or two into a Notepad document on the main computer. After that everything works fine on the secondary.

Any thoughts?

Is your foreground window a browser at the time?

There are some security tools which scramble input when a browser has focus which stops Multiplicity capturing the right letters.

Thank you. Usually a browser has focus. However, right now, I clicked on a spreadsheet and got this when typing the letter a: wertyuiop[]\asdfghjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

Will play with the browser thought and see what happens.

Ok, here is a sequence that guarantees the problem. I am running Firefox on my main machine and have all browsers closed on the secondary. If I type a single character into this response and then go to the secondary and type anything into Excel, the problem exists. If after typing a character here I type another one into Notepad and then go to the spreadsheet on the secondary all is fine.

So, the cause is my last keyboard activity on the main machine. Not what has focus on the secondary.

Sorry yes that's what I was trying to say.  It is a primary end issue.  The issue is probably your antivirus/anti malware app on your primary.  There is probably a setting in it to protect browsers from keyboard logging or similar.
