Start 11 issues

Configuration Start 11

I am an old user of Stardock software and, concerning Start 11, I would like to know if someone can help me on the following issues:

  1. After clicking on existing Apps Icons and selecting "PIN to Start Menu", Start 11 does not assume it and DOES NOT SOW them on the Start Menu;
  2. Moreover, no matter which Start Menu Style I choose (namely, my preferred Windows 7 style), the left panel only shows 4 pinned apps and no more; and below those 4, it shows 9 of my other Apps, perhaps randomly, because I did not select any of them to be shown!;
  3. Specifically, after trying to PIN my "OneDrive" app to the Start 11 Start Menu without success and, alternatively, configured it as a Quick Access Shortcut, it was indeed shown as a Quick Access Shortcut, but if I click on it, the Start11 app crashes and my Start11 windows freezes, the only solution being to restart the PC!!!

Regret to say it, but the above mentioned issues don't leave me with any satisfaction with this product...

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. You on Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.

Assuming you on Start11v2.5 or above.

  • Please make sure this setting is turn on to make sure your "Pin to Start Menu" item be pick up by Start11. Need to log out and in again for it to work.

  • For Windows 7/Modern Style you will need to increase these setting to add more space for more icons to appear vertically (Refer screenshot below)
  • And, after your pinned items, there will be "Most used application" icons. Unless you turn off the "Show my most used application after my pinned shortcuts" option. (this option also appear in the screenshot below)

  • May I know how you did this?
  • alternatively, configured it as a Quick Access Shortcut, it was indeed shown as a Quick Access Shortcut,

Thank you.

Note that when you pin from the Start11 Win7 menu you must pick the Pin to Start (Start11) option NOT the OS Pin to Start one.

Using windows 11, I don't have any "OS Pin to Start one" option. Only "Pin to Win7 menu" options!! But thank you anyway.

TY Basj for your reply.

Yes, I have Start11 V2.5, but under Start Menu > Configuration, I don't have any "Advanced" option. Only this:

Also, my problem is that even increasing the shortcuts listed (e.g. to 15) I contunue to see only 4 Icons pinned, no matter if I ask to PIN an App in the Start Menu....

Concerning the OneDrive Quick Access, Shortcut please check also this Screenshot:

Any other hint or suggestion, please?

Thank you in advance!
