White background live folders

Hi

Is there any way to remove the annoying white background in live folders?
It bothers my delicate mind to no end lol

Also. This poor app has not seen an update since ancient times. *request*

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know your Windows full version and OS Build number, please use Winver.exe. Also your screenshot was from Windows Explorer or Start menu? Start11v2?

Thank you,

Hello Basj

The screenshot is from Directory Opus
But it looks the same in Explorer

I don't see it in my Win 10 Explorer.

That's interesting. So it must be a setting or something with the iconpack I made...
Maybe someone knows what setting or issue it is. I will continue exploring. Thank you

Upon Further inspection. It is folders with data. Not the set ones.
How are your folders with data?

Just tried another theme
It is the same issue. So either it is a Windows thing or a setting or a "feature" in iconpackager 🤔

That might be from what inside that specific folder. Try and see from folder that only have pictures inside and see if that semi transparent white box appear. BTW, you on Windows 10 or 11?

So after some more digging, it seems to be Windows adding this semi-transparent box. It's visible when you make a new folder. The reason it is less so is because of the color of the built-in folders in Windows. As I use a dark background and blue folder it is just painstakingly obvious. I guess this is where the program shows its age or it is just something not even the great Stardock can work around? ;)

If you disabled Iconpackager, just by loading default Windows icons set. Does the issue still appear? If yes, that shows that what ever get display between the Live Folder (Back) and Live Folder (Front) icon set. IconPackager does not control what get display there.

End of fredde's quote

It looks like thats a low res icon which might be impacting things too.  If you see the white line around the icon that says Windows put the icon in a box because it is too small to scale up fully.

Thanks for your reply guys

This is my confusion to unfortunately Basj.

Either windows or icon package doing some voodoo

Was hoping we could have an update to fix this..

@Neil Banfield

Yes. It happens when the space is not filled

Like an icon with transparency or something

Pictures works great

I tried it on a clean virtual machine and the issue is there so not something messed up. You can see it in regular Explorer even without iconpackager. It's just harder to spot cause the color of the folder
