Start menu search colors and default white

Hi.

Have a question about the colors of the start menu search

1. The default color in the search box is white when I click start. Could I make it dark/the same as my chosen background? Or better yet. Hide it until I type something that pops me into the attached picture?
2. After I start typing and the search comes up I get this picture. It is dark with black glyphs (Any way to make the glyphs icons or white)?
3. The text is black. I have a gray box behind the selected item ( Can I change the color of the box or style of the box, have the text color to an automatic more contrasting color)?
4. There seems to be a gray box around the background indicated by the big arrow and the big red box around the start menu. Can I remove that?

Using compact grid modern style mode in start11 V2.51

EDIT and fixed!!
To make it work as it should work switch on "auto" under change start menu colors.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try change the Windows color mode to Dark and see if those fonts change to white. Something like screenshot below.

If you are referring to my window color mode it is set to dark

Are you using Windowblinds or something similar that might change the Start menu search font color?

No. Not at all. 

I take it that it is not supposed to be this way 🤔 

Could it be something with the compact grid modern style I am using?

I will try another theme to see when I get to my computer.

Ok. After playing around a little I figured it out.

To make it work as it should work switch on "auto" under change start menu colors.

Simple and effective.
