Fake Pointer

I'm trying to use the fake pointer support option while playing Everquest.
I can launch the the game and the mouse seems to work completely fine on windows desktop, but once I get into the first menu for server select, it does not allow me to click anything. I see the mouse but it doesn't register that I'm clicking anything. If I connect a mouse, it works, but as soon as I disconnect it, it stops working.

I'm using the latest version of Multiplicity trial.

This is an EverQuest specific issue. You must have a keyboard/mouse connected, otherwise the game behaves erratically. You can connect it and just don't use it. Then Fake Pointer is not required.
