Hiding Fences Without Double Clicking

Is there anyway to hide fences(Desktop icons) without double clicking? any chance to do it with a shortcut key?

I'm using directory opus and I use double click on empty spot to open my file explorer and I don't want to change it.

I really appreciate that letting us to define a shortcut to do that.

You have two options to accomplish showing or hiding Fences.

Hot Keys, or

Auto Hide

Hope this helps.

Those shortcuts are for Peek feature not Hiding desktop fences.

There is not shortcut for hide and show desktop icons unless double clicking. other options are not same.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe the is no hotkey to hide the desktop icons/Fences. The best alternative is autohide features as mentioned by pelaird above.

Thank you.

In Directory Opus, you can define the Win+E shortcut with the same options as the Desktop double-click. So, you could use the Win+E shortcut for DO, and the Desktop double-click to hide Fences.

Yes, I can use Win + E for opus but I prefer double click for opus and another shortcut for hiding fences because I use Opus lots of times and rarely want to hide fences(Only when I'm recording my screen).

when I want to record my screen I should deep dive into Opus setting and disable Double click feature (because If both Opus and Fences have double click feature enabled, Fences double click not working)

It might be easier to open Fences and turn it off, when recording the screen.
