Uninstaller broken

Will not uninstall Fences 3

from Stardock Forums

Trying to install Version 5, but version 3 can't be uninstalled.

"The uninstall executable file could not be written out because it is already in use. Close all running uninstalls and click retry"

Then

"Could not open the uninstall executable for writing: Encountered a sharing violation while accessing . . . \Fences\lua5.1.dll"

I would Revo it but I don't want to lose my settings

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge steps as mention here : [Link]. Reboot after the purge.

Do know that purge should not remove your saved layout snapshots. Just to be sure, you could use this guide to backup your Fences setting: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1331331082/Backup+and+Restore+the+Layout+of+Fences.
