Remove Pinned Taskbar shortcuts, how?

don't see how to do that

I'm in Taskbar>Enhanced taskbar settings and I can see all the pinned taskbar shortcuts, but the options are where to see the shortcuts, and nothing to delete the ones you don't want anymore. How to do that? (BTW I know I can RH mouse click on the taskbar icon and delete it, but I see that doing this will only remove it from windows, but not from Start 11)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I am assuming you're referring to Start11v2 Enhance taskbar setting. To remove those pinned item from your taskbar, is by right click it on the button on the taskbar and select "Unpin from taskbar". After done that, you might need to restart Explorer.exe or reboot to see it removed from that list.

Thank you.

HI, thanks for the quick response. So removing form taskbar will remove it from the Start 11 settings if I reboot?

Hello, thanks, mostly they did, but one shortcut is on my task bar, and when I RH mouse click on it, there is no menu that pops up. All other task bar icons will have a menu if I RH mouse click... not this one!? Do you know where or how I can get rid of it? Thanks. BTW it does not show on the Start 11 settings for taskbar management.

fixed! I asked chatgpt...

6. Check the Taskbar Context Menu:

Sometimes, the context menu might be disabled or not displaying correctly due to a system glitch. If nothing works, you could also try resetting your taskbar settings:

  1. Go to Settings (Windows + I).
  2. Go to PersonalizationTaskbar.
  3. Try turning off and on the taskbar settings (for example, toggle "Show taskbar on all displays" or similar options), then check if the right-click menu starts functioning again.
