Your computer does not have a valid encryption key

Recently installed Multiplicity 4 and have been unable to set an encryption key.

Error: "Invalid encryption key found: Your computer does not have a valid encryption key"

What is the policy for encryption keys? Is there a minimum amount of characters? Are there any characters that are not allowed?

End of quote

To ensure you have it working, start with something simple, '123456789' for example, on both the Primary and all Secondary PCs.

What cpu does the machine have?  I ask as we have a report of older 64 bit cpus and 32 bit cpus not saving changes correctly.

Bulk response.

Both CPU's in question are either an (Intel) LGA 1155 or 1150. They're definitely at or just over 10 years old at this point.

Neither will save the encryption key, regardless of how simple they are. When I try the "Test" feature in the KVM and Seamless Display, I receive the prompt to "Check that ____ mode is enabled on the secondary"....

Both machines are on a Private network. They're both on the same network and subnet. The only thing that I can't validate is that the encryption key is actually SAVING. Which appears to be the bottleneck.

We have identified an issue with registry key writing on 32 bit and very old 64 bit CPUs

This should be addressed in the next update.
