Start11 Taskbar and Citrix

I use Citrix to work from home remotely.

Often when I switch to my Citrix workspace, the Start11 taskbar remains on top. Sometimes I have to click on Citrix in the taskbar multiple times to make the taskbar for the remote workspace appear on the screen.

When switching to a Citrix window to use it as a remote desktop, the Start11 taskbar should please disappear in favour of the Citrix one.

I don't know if this is a bug, or if there's a setting for it somewhere that I'm unaware of.

Thanks.

Hi Basj,

1. Windows 11 Home v22H2, OS Build 22621.4169

2. Start11 version 2.11

3. Citrix version 24.5.10.29(2405.10)

4. I don't have video, but here are a couple of screenshots. I am logged into a remote Windows 10 desktop session using Citrix. Below is what this should look like. Note that when Citrix is active it should be showing the taskbar from the remote desktop. The Notepad window is on the remote desktop.

Sometimes when I switch to Citrix it looks like the below. Note that the Start11 taskbar is overlaying the taskbar for the remote desktop. Again the Notepad window is on the remote desktop. Note that the Start11 taskbar seems to be slightly taller than the remote Windows taskbar since it slightly overhangs the Notepad window.

Note:

  • I configured both my PC and the remote session to have the taskbar at the top of the screen.
  • I scratched out a bit of identifying information (the name of the organisation being connected to) in the second screenshot using purple pen.

This issue only happens sometimes and I'm not sure what triggers it. It seems to most often happen when I haven't switched back to the remote session for a while.

Thanks.

Hi irrevenant,

Would you be able to compare this behavior to what happens without Start11 enabled at all?  This could help get a better idea if there's some conflict between your Citrix software and one of your Windows versions themselves.
