Please forgive me for posting this same post in the feedback thread. I realized it hasn't been posted in since December last year. Please delete the post in the feedback area for Window Blinds 11

Check out this pic:

Click on the  V that is next to the question mark. That will bring back the drop down menu.

Also do this:

Make sure that the minimize the ribbon is unchecked. That way you will have the drop down menu all the time. I hope you find this post helpful!

You might be misunderstanding me. My issue is when a drop down menu is opened, some of the menu items are not showing correctly. I have to hover the mouse over them for them to show up, but as soon as I remove the mouse from over top a menu item it dissappear again. Look at the menu image to see missing items in the "View" menu title drop down.

This doesn't happen when Window Blinds 11.2 is not installed. It also happens if I use Window Blinds 10.

I will test it tonight after work when I set the default windows theme with Window Blinds 11.2 installed to see if it does it. If it does then I will assume it has something to do with Window Blinds.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know if your issue happen on any Windowblinds skin or on specific skin? I tested on my Windows 10 system with same Version and OS build as your and I don't see the issue on my system.

For light mode it look like this.

Thank you.

Aero Executive works fine as far as the drop down menu in Explorer. All the menu items are showing as expected.

Found here:

Aero Executive theme

As in my first post, Halloween_2022 theme has the issues of menu items not showing unless the mouse hovers over them.

Found here:

Halloween_2022

Viking Warrior has the same issue

Found here:

Viking Warrior

Default Theme has same issue if applied through Window Blinds, but doesn't have the issue if Window Blinds isn't installed

Strange. At first I thought it was maybe because those were old themes, perhaps designed for Windows XP or Windows 7, but then I saw that they were much more recent, and therefore should not be having any issues. Odd. I downloaded and installed Viking Warrior. As far as I can tell, it works fine. No issues. No problem with the drop down menu in Win Explorer. I am unable to reproduce this issue on my system. There must be something else going on.

Here is my s/shot for Halloween. No issue for me. I notice your ribbon came out covering the address bar and some part of your files area. Do you have any other 3rd party application that change how Explorer work?

Not really to some degree, but I might. I had Directory Opus 13.9 installed, but I didn't set it to take the place of Windows Explorer. I only had it booting up with the system.

I uninstalled Directory Opus and rebooted my system and then checked Windows Explorer drop down menu again and it still has the same things not showing. So it couldn't have been Directory Opus.

I did make a mistake on the viking theme, it wasn't Viking Warrior, it is Celtic Warrior found here: Celtic Warrior

Below is Halloween_2022 theme

I tested Celtic warrior but I still don't see the issue. I don't think it is the skins. It is something else.

Try this, disable Windowblinds by applying the Windows "default theme", this should reset to Windows default, reboot might help, resetting everything back to default. Than open Explorer. See if the ribbon still open with it covering up the address and search bars.

All menu options are showing now with default them active and reboot.

The search bar and stuff are covered up because I don't have the option selected for them to not be covered up.

I would like everything to be as it should so I can enjoy the Window Blind themes.

Uncheck Show below the ribbon option in the Custom Quick Access Toolbar. That allows the menu to cover up the search bar and stuff.

Example:

I check and "unchecked Show below the ribbon but the ribbon still do not cover the address bar and search bar as shown in your screenshot. Refer my screenshow below.

The top is from yours in your reply#4. Below is mine with Show quick access toolbar below the ribbon.

And this is what appear when I select the quick access to appear below ribbon. But the address bar and search bar is not covered.

Please forgive me, I thought that that was the option that would make it cover the search bar, but it doesn't. It moves the quick access menu above or below the ribbon.

Anyway, I am starting to believe that my issue has to do with either Window Blinds or certain themes. More likely, themes I think. Why... because some themes have the issue of certain menu items missing unless the mouse hovers over them and some themes don't have the issue. I just installed the BlueGlass theme and the wallpaper and it doesn't cause the issue.

Again, I tested those skin you mentioned on my system and I don't see your issue. And 3Jave3 also mentioned that he do not see the issue on his system too. So, I conclude that it is something in your system causing that part is not painting correctly.

If I boot my system with a theme that has the issue and then restart Windows Explorer using Task Manager the issue is gone. All windows explorer menus are showing. But as soon as I reboot the system with the same theme that has the issue, the issue is back.

I tested by applying Celtic Warrior, reboot my system, retest the explorer. But, I still don't see the issue. Please try the cleanboot and see if something else is causing the issue for you. https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot.

I have tested both Viking Warrior and Celtic Warrior, and I have no such problem or issue on my system. I cannot reproduce your issue. So there is something else going on, and hopefully we can find out what it is.
