StartMenu11v2 Errant Hyphen

When you right-click the Taskbar with SmartMenu11v2 installed, an entry of Task-Manager appears in the context-sensitive menu. Never has Microsoft before included an entry of Task[hyphen]Manager when right-clicking the taskbar nor has any previous version of StartMenu8, StartMenu10 or StartMenu11 ever had an entry of Task[hyphen]Manager. The entry should be Task[space]Manager. Do you agree the menu selection entry of Task[hyphen]Manager should be corrected to Task[space]Manager?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't see the issue on my system. This is what I saw on my Windows 11 V 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4169)

Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Start11v2 full version number.
  3. If you disable Start11, and do the right click does the hyphen gone?

Thank you.

I did not disable StartMenu11 for fear of not being able to re-enable it again. But, doesn't this context-sensitive menu come from StartMenu11?

I can confirm that I don't see the hyphenation of Task Manager. Start11v2 - 2.11; Windows 11 Pro - 22635.4225

I see that you are using the Enhanced Taskbar, so I tried turning that on, but still no hyphen.

Okay, I think I figured it out. There are two English language files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11\lang," and in both files, at the bottom appears the following:

;Added in 2.11
"Task Manager"="Task-Manager"

I hadn't updated since the 2.11 Beta, which is why I didn't see the hyphen. So I installed the 2.11 Release version, and sure enough my taskbar context menu now says "Task-Manager."

I'm not sure who decided this, but it needs to be fixed!

EDIT: I opened both language files and deleted the lines,

;Added in 2.11
"Task Manager"="Task-Manager"

and now Task Manager displays correctly.

I edited my two English language files, found what you found, and now the hyphen is gone. Thank you for finding the cure so quickly.
